ITHACA, N.Y. — The eighth-ranked men's squash team defeated #13 Navy on Friday evening, 8-1, after dropping a 6-3 decision earlier in the day to #6 Franklin & Marshall at Belkin International Squash Courts.
 
The Big Red continues to get dominant play from the top of its lineup with senior Nick Sachvie and junior Aditya Jagtap each winning both of their matches on the day. Sophomore Abhijit Malik also won both of his matches from the No. 8 position.
 
Ivy League play then resumes at noon Saturday against No. 2 Harvard (9-0). The Crimson have won all of its matches by 8-1 or 9-0 final scores. The Big Red is 2-44 all-time against Harvard, but the last match between the squads at Belkin was as close as it gets. Cornell held three-point leads twice before dropping the final four matches to suffer a dramatic 5-4 loss on Feb. 5, 2012.
 
The weekend concludes with a noon Sunday match against No. 11 Dartmouth. The Big Green is 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the Ivy League coming into its Saturday match at Columbia. Dartmouth split a pair of 6-3 matches last weekend against Bates and Western Ontario. The Big Red is 8-14 all-time against the Big Green, but that includes seven consecutive victories.
