Box Score 2 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Senior
Alyson Onyon's complete game shutout in game two snapped the Big Red's five-game skid as Cornell softball salvaged a doubleheader split with Georgetown with a 6-0 victory in game two after a 7-1 defeat in the opener. Cornell moved to 8-13 overall, while the Hoyas are now 16-13.
Cornell will return to action on Wednesday, April 2 at 2 p.m. when it visits George Washington for a a twinbill.

Kristan Baker's solo home run in the seventh was the Big Red's lone offense, while
Meg Parker was 2-for-3.
Hoya starters Lauren O'Leary went the distance, surrendering just the one run in a complete game four-hitter, striking out six without issuing a walk. Elyse Graziano was 3-for-4 and was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, while Grace Appelbe hit a home run.

Sophie Giaquinto's hot bat to the doubleheader split. Onyon tossed a complete game three-hitter, striking out a season-best 10. The senior was perfect through four and was only threatened once, in the fifth, when she stranded the bases loaded.
Giaquinto had an RBI flyout in the first, a two-run homer in the third and a two-run single in the seventh to finish the day 2-for-3 with five RBI, tied for the 11th most in a game in school history. Parker was 2-for-2 with a double, making her 4-for-5 on the day to raise her season batting average to .316
