ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's polo team got back to .500 on the season with a decisive 21-6 win over Garrison Forest on Saturday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red moved to 2-2 on the year, including 2-0 at home.

Emma Eldredge, Hannah Noyes and Shariah Harris started for the Big Red and showed their hard work over the last couple of weeks. Defensively, the Big Red came out strong and shut Garrison out in the first chukker. Cornell led 5-0 going into the second and 15-1 at the half after scoring the first 15 goals of the match.

Noyes and Eldredge sat in third, giving way to Claire Stieg and Gillian Cowley. In a fast-moving third chukker, each team tallied three goals to see the Big Red head to the fourth with an 18-4 lead. Eldredge replaced Harris for the fourth and again the chukker's pace was fast moving. Cornell would take it 3-2 for the final margin.

Eldredge tallied nine goals, Harris had eight and Noyes and Cowley each added two.

The Big Red will be back in action when it visits Connecticut on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in Storrs, Conn.
