Cornell Wins Second Straight, Tops Harvard

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's polo team got back within a game of .500 with an 18-3 win over Harvard on Sunday afternoon. The victory was David Eldredge's 499th victory as head coach of the Big Red women's program.

Jenny Nelson, Anna Ullmann and Shariah Harris started for the Big Red and kept the ball in their end for a major portion of the chukker, taking a 3-0 lead. The second saw Gillian Cowley replace Nelson and a carbon copy of the first resulted in a 6-0 halftime lead. Cornell finally broke out in the third with Harris, Cowley and Nelson mounted up. Scoring six times, Cornell built a 12-2 edge heading into fourth. The final chukker saw Cornell add another six to push the final tally to an 18-3 win for Cornell. Harris scored nine goals, Cowley had six and Nelson posted three.
