NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The Columbia Lions completed a three-game sweep of Cornell on Sunday afternoon at the Columbia Softball Field, topping the Big Red 8-0 in six innings. Cornell fell to 6-28 on the year (2-10 Ivy), while the Lions are 17-15 (9-3 Ivy).
Alexa Pinarski was in control in the circle all afternoon for the Lions, scattering four hits and striking out three in a complete game shutout. She was backed by a 2-for-4 performance at the plate by Sommer Grzybek that included a home run and three RBI. Amanda Nishihira also homered for Columbia.

Ruby Sugayan each had hits on the afternoon for the Big Red, with
Katie Lew going the distance in the circle and allowing five earned runs in picking up the loss.
Cornell returns to action with a three-game set with Dartmouth beginning on Saturday, April 20 at 12:30 p.m.
