ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell head coach David Archer '05 and senior captains George Holm and Jelani Taylor took part in Ivy League Football Media Day at ESPN's Bristol, Conn. campus on Thursday afternoon. The trio spent more than a half day answering questions about the upcoming 2019 season, the Big Red's place in college football's 150-year anniversary and what it means to be an Ivy League student-athlete.

The Ivy League and ESPN put together a first-class event for the eight teams and nearly 40 credentialed media in attendance. In addition to traditional press conferences in front of a capacity studio audience and countless others watching live on ESPN+, the student-athletes participated in video interviews with the Ivy League and the NCAA and tested their SportsCenter anchoring skills alongside ESPN talent Elle Duncan and Jay Harris. 

Interspersed throughout the day were presentations on ESPN+ and CFB150, including a detailed walkthrough of ESPN's CFB150 campaign — officially launching Saturday, August 17 — by John Dahl, vice president and executive producer, ESPN special projects and original content. 

The Ivy League's CFB150 campaign launched on Wednesday, June 26th and will continue throughout the 2019 Ivy League football season, concluding on the league's regional rivalry weekend on Saturday, Nov. 23. 

The 2019 Ivy League football season kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 21, with seven games to appear on ESPN linear networks throughout the season. The Ivy League is coming off a 2018 campaign in which it led the FCS in non-conference winning percentage (.750) and NFL representation (24 players) for the second-straight season.
