After a 1-1 week that featured a road victory over Canisius, junior midfielder
Harry Fuller has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday, Sept. 23.
Fuller has been a force to be reckoned with in 2019, leading the team in goals (3) and points (7) through five matches. On Saturday, Sept. 21, Fuller tallied both goals in a 2-0 win over the Golden Griffins of Canisius. All four of Fuller's shots were placed on goal that day as he narrowly missed a hat trick.
The London, England native first scored on a penalty kick in the 29th minute. Canisius' Killian Panis tackled senior
John Scearce in the box to set up the PK chance for Fuller. It's the first penalty kick Cornell has attempted and converted in 2019.
Fuller kept the momentum going for Cornell in the second half, as he put the Big Red up 2-0 with his second goal in the 48th minute. Senior
George Pedlow put a touch on the ball in the box and redirected it to Fuller, setting up the shot. Fuller used the pass from Pedlow to bury the ball in the top right corner of Canisius' goal.
