ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell men's squash team competed at Belkin International Squash Courts over the weekend for the first time this season, but Yale and Trinity came away with victories over the Big Red. Fifth-ranked Yale won on Saturday, 8-1, then fourth-ranked Trinity defeated seventh-ranked Cornell on Sunday, 9-0.

Junior Veer Chotrani accounted for the Big Red's point against the Bulldogs, rallying to win in four from the top spot. Now 3-2 on the season, Chotrani's defeat was against an opponent from Yale who was one win away from earned All-America status in 2019-20. Seniors Charles Culhane and Nicholas Göth Errington both won the first game of their respective matches before eventually being defeated, while Yale swept the other six contests.

The Big Red was swept by Trinity, but there was one Cornell victory on the day when Rohan Iyer staved off his opponent in the exhibition No. 10 match. There were a couple of other close calls with Chotrani and Nikhil Arjunan Iyer competing for over an hour before being defeated in the fifth game of their tilts.

The Big Red hits the road for its next competition, staying within Ivy League play with visits to Dartmouth on Saturday and Harvard on Sunday.
