ITHACA, N.Y. — The top of the lineup had a strong weekend for the women's squash team, but the Big Red was ultimately defeated in its first two home matches of the season. Fourth-ranked Yale topped \eight-ranked Cornell on Saturday, 6-3, before second-ranked Trinity visited on Sunday and came away with a 7-2 decision.

Sivasangari Subramaniam remained undefeated on the season, improving to 6-0 — all from the No. 1 position. Sophomore
Wen Li Lai also came out victorious on both days, sweeping her opponent from Yale on the first day before staving off her opponent in five games on Sunday.
Selena Georgieva accounted for the Big Red's other point against Yale, sweeping a match at the No. 4 position. Georgieva has now won her first two Ivy League matches, having defeated an opponent from Columbia in December.
The Big Red hits the road for its next competition, staying within Ivy League play with visits to Dartmouth on Saturday and Harvard on Sunday.
