ITHACA, N.Y. -- Here are some notes from Cornell's 19-15 win over Lehigh on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Schoellkopf Field.

Team Notes

  • The win helped secure Cornell's first perfect 3-0 non-league season since 2007 and its fifth all-time since the Big Red started playing its 10-game seasons in 1980.
  • The team extended its non-conference win streak to four games, its longest since winning seven straight from 2006 to 2008.
  • The team also pushed its win streak over Patriot League opponents to three games.
  • Cornell snapped a five-game home losing skid, its longest since it dropped the final home game of 2016 and the first four contests of 2017.
  • The contest was the 700th home game in program history and the 450th win in front of its Ithaca fans.
  • The Big Red surpassed its 2021 win total (2-8) with the triumph.
  • Cornell's nine pass breakups ranks as the 12th-most in a single game in school history.
  • Four of the Big Red's nine drives went for 10 or more plays, the most 10-play drives in a game since it also posted four 10-play drives in a 2017 win at Princeton.
  • Cornell rallied from a halftime deficit to win a game for the first time this year, the seventh time under head coach David Archer '05 and the 77th time in school history (77-401-4, .164).
  • The Big Red is now 21-3 when it gains more that 300 yards of offense and 14-5 when it allows opponents fewer than 20 points under Archer.
  • The game featured just two combined punts, the fewest in a game since Cornell didn't punt and Brown had a pair at Brown on Nov. 10, 1962.
  • The second half shutout of the Mountain Hawks was the first time Cornell held an opponent without points in a half since the second half of a 21-7 victory over Marist on Sept. 21, 2019.

Player Notes

  • Connor Henderson's 31-yard interception return for a touchdown was the Big Red's second this year, 48th all-time and the longest since David Jones went 48 yards in 2018 against Sacred Heart.
  • With 10 tackles, Jake Stebbins boosted his career total to 199, good for 26th in school history and one shy of 200 - becoming the first Cornell player to reach that milestone since Nick Gesualdi closed his career in 2017 with 250 stops.
  • His 1.5 tackles for loss against Lehigh gives him 19.0 for his carer, the most since Zack Imhoff graduated with 23.0 in 2011 and the 24th-most in school history.
  • The contest was Stebbins' seventh game with double figure tackles.
  • Glover's 48 receiving yards gives him 1,111 (24th in school history), while his 81 catches is 27th.
  • Through five games, Jameson Wang has accounted for 12 touchdowns (six rushing, six passing), the most by a Cornell player in a single season since Dalton Banks had 23 scores (18 passing, 5 rushing) in 2016.
  • Jackson Kennedy now has multi-field goal games in two of his past three outings, including 3-of-4 beyond 40 yards.
  • Four different rushers (Robert Tucker III, Jameson Wang, Gannon Carothers and Eddy Tillman) each had at least one run of 10+ yards.
  • Robert Tucker III posted 54 rushing yards on just three carries, a career-high for the sophomore.
  • Sophomore Muhammad-Ali Kobo earned his first career start on the defensive line and had two tackles with one for a loss.
  • Manny Adebi's blocked field goal in the fourth quarter was the first by a Big Red player since David Jones blocked an attempt at Brown on Oct. 20, 2018.
