#8 Men's Squash to Host Rochester to Cap Four-Match Homestand

11/21/2022 3:00:00 PM

The No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash team will conclude its four-game homestand to open the 2022-23 season on Tuesday when the Big Red welcomes the University of Rochester to the Belkin Squash Courts. Game time is slated for 6 p.m., with action being broadcast live on Stretch Internet.

Cornell is looking to continue its strong start to the season as the Big Red posted dominant performances over Western on Nov. 12 before posting consecutive victories over Williams (8-1) and Brown (9-0) this past weekend.

Entering Tuesday, the Big Red have only lost just two of its 27 matches played so far on the year.

Veer Chotrani, Arnaav Sareen, and Spencer Yager each have posted 3-0 records. Chotrani has played all three of his matches at No. 1 spot on the ladder, while Sareen has split time between the No. 2 and No. 3 spots and Yager has played at both No. 3 and No. 4.

Last year, Cornell edged Rochester, 5-4, in regular-season action on Feb. 2. Nick Robinson, Humza Khan, and Rohan Iyer each won their respective matches against the Yellow Jackets.

Cornell also defeated Rochester at the CSA National Championships, 7-2, to claim the Hoehn Cup title.
