ITHACA, N.Y. – The No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash team returns to the court on Wednesday for the last time in the 2022 portion of the schedule when it travels to Geneva, N.Y., to take on the No. 24-ranked Hobart Statesmen.
The Big Red enter the contest with a 4-0 record on the year, having lost just three of the 36 matches played so far on the year.
Cornell is seeking its first 5-0 start since the 2012-13 campaign.
Veer Chotrani,
Arnaav Sareen, and
Spencer Yager have won all four matches on the year, while Nicholas Göth-Errington,
Morgan Huberman,
Rohan Iyer, and
Tanay Punjabi all have 3-0 records on the year.
Scouting Report
Hobart enters the match with an 0-2 record, falling to No. 18-ranked Amherst, 5-4, on Nov. 19, and to No. 14-ranked Williams, 6-3, on Nov. 20.
Sebi De La Vega is the lone Statesmen with an undefeated record, posting a 2-0 record at the top spot on the ladder for Hobart.
Wednesday will be the first time Cornell and Hobart are facing each other since the Big Red posted a 9-0 win on Nov. 17, 2019, at the Belkin Squash Courts.
Cornell has won its last 16 matches against the Statesmen.
