ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell women's polo team swept through a road weekend at Harvard, topping the intercollegiate team 13-8 while also dropping the interscholastic squad on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6 at the Joseph Poor Arena in South Hamilton, Mass. The Big Red improved to 5-2 on the season.

Against the intercollegiate team, the Big Red got eight goals from Lea Jih-Vieira and five more for Jasmine Umrigar in picking up the victory. After Harvard scored the first two goals of the day, Cornell tied the contest with back-to-back goals, then opened the second chukker with three consecutive goals and never trailed again. It was 7-3 at halftime and 9-5 entering the third. The Crimson got back within 10-8 in the fourth, but Cornell put it away with three straight from Jih-Vieira to close out the win.

The Big Red will play Commonwealth Polo in its Fall Alumni Game on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at Oxley Equestrian Center.
