ITHACA, N.Y. — The women's squash team will close out its regular season with a pair of home matches this weekend, playing host to Drexel at noon Sunday and St. Lawrence at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Cornell (3-7) entered the week ninth in the College Squash Association rankings, slipping one spot after a 6-3 loss to Penn last Sunday to wrap up Ivy League play. Senior
Sivasangari Subramaniam continues to pace the team with a perfect 10-0 record from the top spot, and sophomore
Wen Li Lai is a sparkling 7-3 from the #2 position.
Drexel (12-3) is ranked sixth and enters the weekend on five straight victories — four of which came during its run to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship last weekend. Lilke the Big Red, the Dragons have found plenty of success near the top of their lineup. Karina Tyma is 11-2 from the #1 spot and Alina Bushman is 10-2 at #2. Drexel won the last meeting between the teams, 6-3, on Jan. 19, 2020.
St. Lawrence (11-5) is ranked 20th after a 9-0 sweep over Vassar to claim the Liberty League Championship last weekend. The Big Red is 11-0 all-time against the Saints, who are coached by former Big Red assistant coach Scott Denne.
