Cornell-Harvard Football Game To Be Televised On ESPNU

6/27/2022 11:24:00 AM

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The 2022 edition of the Cornell-Harvard football game will be played on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. under the lights at Schoellkopf Field in a contest that will be televised by ESPNU. It is one of six Ivy League contests that will air on ESPN linear networks this coming season.

The schedule is one of several parts to the league's comprehensive agreement with ESPN that was launched in 2018. The partnership airs over 1,400 events annually on ESPN+ and includes at least 24 events on ESPN linear networks.

The teams have split the last four matchups with the Big Red winning at home in both 2017 (17-14) and 2018 (28-24). Cornell rallied from double-digit deficits in both contests. Harvard has won two straight in Cambridge, Mass., with the 22nd-ranked Crimson topping the Big Red 24-10 this past season in a game that was tied midway through the third quarter. Harvard leads the all-time series 49-34-2, though it's even in Ithaca (17-17-2).

The full schedule includes:
Friday, Sept. 30 – Penn at Dartmouth – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
Friday, Oct. 7 – Harvard at Cornell – 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)
