ITHACA, N.Y. -- The No. 9 Cornell women's squash team opens its home schedule at the Belkin Squash Courts this weekend with three contests across two days. 

The Big Red hosts No. 21 Chatham at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and No. 12 Tufts and No. 17 William Smith College on Sunday, Dec. 3. Sunday's contests start at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively. 

Cornell opened its season with 8-1 victories over No. 14 Williams College and No. 13 Amherst College on Nov. 18 and 19. The Big Red has only lost two of its 18 matches, with No. 1 Wen Li Lai and No. 2 Aishwarya Khubchandani (2-0) undefeated thus far. Neither has dropped a set. 

Notes On Chatham

Chatham has won its last two contests against Haverford College and Denison University, evening its record at 2-2. Chatham opened the season with losses to Dickinson College and Penn. 

Friday's meeting will be the first between Cornell and Chatham. 

Notes On Tufts

Tufts split its first two contests of the season, losing 8-1 to Trinity College and beating William Smith College 8-1. 

Cornell is 6-1 against Tufts. It has won the last six meetings after dropping the first one in 1997. The Big Red beat Tufts 9-0 last season. 

Notes on William Smith College

William Smith is 1-1 with a 9-0 win over Mount Holyoke College and an 8-1 loss to Tufts. 

The Big Red is 21-0 all-time against William Smith. That includes a 12-0 mark at the Belkin Squash Courts.
