Men's Squash Gets First Home Action Against Chatham, Tufts, Hobart

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The No. 9 Cornell men's squash team is set to take the court this weekend with three contests across two different days.

The Big Red will host #16 Chatham University (1-3) on Friday, Dec. 1, followed by #12 Tufts (1-1) and #23 Hobart (0-3) on Sunday, Dec. 3.

The Big Red sits at 2-0 on the season, and has only dropped one of the 18 matches played. Cornell #1 Aaron Liang, #2 Arnaav Sareen, #5 Rohan Iyer, and #8 Tanay Punjabi are a perfect 6-0 on the year after the first two games, never dropping a set.

Scouting Chatham

Chatham sits at 1-3 entering the contest, sitting on a three game slide after narrowly falling to Haverford, followed by a 9-0 and 7-2 loss to Drexel and Franklin and Marshall.

The Cougars one win came in their first game of the season, when the team topped Denison, 7-2.

Scouting Tufts

The Jumbos enter the weekend at 1-1 on the season.

Tufts beat Hobart in its season opener, but fell to Trinity College in straight sets the following day.

Hobart is still searching for its first win of the season.

The Statesmen have never been swept, talling at least two matches in each contest.

Looking Ahead

The contests this weekend will wrap up the winter slate. Cornell returns to the court in the new year when it hosts Drexel on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at the Belkin Squash Courts in Ithaca, N.Y.
