PHILADELPHIA — The No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash team battled No. 7 Drexel on Friday night at the Kline & Specter Squash Center, falling to the host Dragons, 6-3.
Seven of the nine matches featured Cornell recording at least one point in the setback.
Arnaav Sareen (No. 3),
Spencer Yager (No. 4), and
Nicholas Göth Errington (No. 9) were victorious for Cornell.
Sareen posted a five-game victory over Jose Andres Lopez, while Yager won in four games against Yuri Pollak Pelbart and Göth Errington did not lose a game to Shaan Dalal.
Veer Chotrani and
Aaron Liang each fell in five-game matches at the top two positions.
Chotrani had a 2-1 lead over Matias Knudsen, who used 11-7 and 11-5 victories in the final two games to record the victory for the Dragons. Liang and Nicolas Serna were engaged in a back-and-forth match as the duo alternated victories until Serna logged consecutive 11-8 wins to claim the match.
