PHILADELPHIA — The No. 6-ranked Cornell women's squash team fell to No. 8-ranked Yale, 5-4, in the Big Red's final match at the Howe Cup on Sunday morning.
Cornell (9-8) saw senior
Sivasangari Subramaniam, junior
Wen Li Lai, and freshman
Aishwarya Khubchandani post victories at the top three positions of the ladder.
Subramaniam cruised in three games, while Khubchandani prevailed in four games, and Lai battled against Sneha Sivakumar in five games. Lai dropped just one point in the decisive fifth set.
Senior
Lily Zelov was the other Big Red player to register a win on Sunday, posting a four-game victory over Whitney Taylor at the No. 5 position.
Three of Yale's five wins on the day came in three-game sweeps.
Fellow senior
McKenna Stoltz fell in five games at the No. 9 position to Joy Qu.
