#8 Men’s Squash Falls to #7 Drexel in Consolation Final of Potter Cup

HARTFORD, Conn. — Rohan Iyer and Nicholas Göth Errington posted victories for the No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash team in its 7-2 loss to No. 7-ranked Drexel in the consolation final of the Potter Cup at the College Squash Association National Championships on Sunday afternoon.

With the setback, Cornell concludes its season with an 8-9 record while placing sixth at the national championships.

Iyer posted a three-game victory at the No. 6 position over Filip Krueger, avenging his five-game defeat to Krueger back on Feb. 10.

Göth Errington cruised in his match at the No. 9 spot over Gautam Nagpal, 11-5, 11-4, 11-2.

Aaron Liang battled with Nicolas Serna, falling in five games at the No. 2 position, 9-11, 11-9, 6-11, 12-10, 11-4.

Four of Drexel's victories came in three games.

Looking Ahead

Selected members of the Cornell men's squash team will participate in next weekend's Individual Championships, which will be held at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.
