HARTFORD, Conn. —
Rohan Iyer and
Nicholas Göth Errington posted victories for the No. 8-ranked Cornell men's squash team in its 7-2 loss to No. 7-ranked Drexel in the consolation final of the Potter Cup at the College Squash Association National Championships on Sunday afternoon.
With the setback, Cornell concludes its season with an 8-9 record while placing sixth at the national championships.
Iyer posted a three-game victory at the No. 6 position over Filip Krueger, avenging his five-game defeat to Krueger back on Feb. 10.
Göth Errington cruised in his match at the No. 9 spot over Gautam Nagpal, 11-5, 11-4, 11-2.
Aaron Liang battled with Nicolas Serna, falling in five games at the No. 2 position, 9-11, 11-9, 6-11, 12-10, 11-4.
Four of Drexel's victories came in three games.
