ITHACA, N.Y -- The United States Polo Association announced the seed for the National Intercollegiate women's polo tournament, and the Big Red has drawn the University of Kentucky in the first round. This marks the second match up of the season for the two opponents.
The contest will be a rematch of the final game of the regular season for Cornell, where the Big Red took a 19-13 win.
Lea Jih-Vieira led the scoring charge with eight goals. Cornell tallied after the first score, a horse goal by Kentucky, but never was behind the remainder of the game.
The all-time record between the two teams sits at 13-6 in favor of Cornell.
With a win, the Big Red would advance to the semifinals on Tuesday, April 13, to face Texas A&M at 12 p.m.
