Caroline Ramsey joins junior
Olivia Friedberg, sophomore
Grace Leahy and freshman
Polly Parsons are among 131 student-athletes named to the initial list.
Ramsey, an NFHCA third-team All-American in 2022, is a two-time all-region selection and a member of the U.S. National Team. One of the nation's top defenders, she also enters her final season with 31 goals and 69 total points with six of her scores going as game winners. Her 11 defensive saves in 2022 was one off the national lead.
Friedberg was a member of the Canadian women's indoor national team this past season. The three-year starter had four career goals and an assist in 34 collegiate games while playing in the midfield.
Leahy was the team's third-leading scorer a season ago as a freshman with five goals and 12 points, with three of her tallies going as game winners. She started all 17 contests at forward.
One of just 10 first year players to be recognizzed, Parsons joins the Big Red after being selected to compete for a spot at the Team USA U-21 National Training Camp. She was a two-time first-team all-state selection at New Canaan HS in Connecticut.

The watchlist is intended to showcase field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2023 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Nexus Championship selection, AAU Junior Olympic Games selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and the student-athlete's head coach must be an active NFHCA member.
