IRVING, Texas -- Senior linebacker Jake Stebbins has been named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF). Stebbins is one of a record-setting 201 semifinalists.

Celebrating its 34th year, the Campbell Trophy recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

Stebbins is a two-time captain for the Big Red. In each of his three season of action, Stebbins has earned All-Ivy Honors including a first-team nod in the 2021 season. Across his career, Stebbins has totaled 121 solo tackles, and assisted on 116. He also has 20 tackles for loss, eight sacks, eight passes defended, and three forced fumbles. Prior to the start of the 2023 season, he was named to the preseason All-Ivy first-team.

Off the field, Stebbins was nominated to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for his work in the community. He took the lead on Cornell's Red Key Clothing Drive for the Cayuga Medical Center, as well as for a football group that participated in the Polar Plunge to support the Special Olympics. A participant in Relay For Life, he is a multiple-time group captain for Salvation Army's Adopt-A-Family program during Christmas Seasons. He has worked as an actuarial intern for Highmark Health for three years.
