  • Cornell women's basketball returns home for the first time in two weeks when it battles Brown.
  • The Big Red will take on the Bears on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m.
  • Cornell was selected seventh in the Ivy League preseason media poll. Cornell finished 10-17 in the 2022-23 season, ending at seventh in the Ancient Eight. The Big Red tallied a road win over Brown and a sweep over Dartmouth in conference play.
  • Sophomore Emily Pape scored in double figures in seven consecutive games, including matching her career high (27) against Syracuse on Dec. 18 before being thwarted at Penn, being held to just six. It is the longest streak of double-digit performances for a Big Red athlete since Laura Bagwell-Katalinich '20 had 21 straight during the 2019-20 season.
  • Pape shot an impressive 52% from the field, secured 57 rebounds, and swiped 16 steals over that stretch.
  • Senior captain Kaya Ingram and junior Summer Parker-Hall follow, tallying 152 and 119 points this season. Ingram is second on the team in steals (15) and first in assists (45).

  • Cornell won the turnover battle for the sixth game this year but came up short in the Palestra, losing 67-54 to Penn on Monday from Philadelphia.
  • Captains Kaya Ingram and Summer Parker-Hall led the Big Red with 14 points apiece in the defeat. Parker-Hall also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds while Ingram dished out a team-high five assists. 
  • Sophomore Emily Pape had her streak of double digits snapped at seven straight, scoring six points. It was the longest streak of double figurs since Laura Bagwell-Katalinich '20 had 21 straight during the 2019-20 season. Vivienne Knee also had six points for the red and white to go along with a career-high three steals.
  • Penn had three double-digit scorers, including a 26-point performance from Stina Almqvist, a career-high for the junior. Jordan Obi followed with 14 points, and Lizzy Groetsch added 10. Penn's defense also controlled the three-point arc, forcing the Big Red to go 0-of-7 from beyond.
