Trinity College and Yale Come to Town to Face Men's Squash

1/25/2024 2:00:00 PM

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell men's squash is back in action this week when it hosts #4 Trinity College (Conn.) on Saturday, Jan. 27 and #3 Yale on Sunday, Jan. 28. Matches are set to begin at 1 p.m. and 12 p.m., respectively. Matches will be played at the Belkin Squash Courts in Ithaca, N.Y. The Big Red is still off to its best since the 2012-13 season when the team went 16-6 with only three regular-season losses.

Cornell has won four of the 34 all-time meetings between the Bantams and Big Red. The home team is looking to break a 24-match losing streak dating back to the 1990-91 season. Cornell has tallied just three wins in the 64 all-time meetings against the Bulldogs. However, the Big Red is no stranger to upsets this season, as #9 Cornell has already taken down #7 Drexel in a thrilling 5-4 win at home to open the spring.

Trinity is one of only two men's programs to be 9-0 on the season, the second being #1 Penn. Yale is off to a 5-1 start to the season, with the only loss coming at Harvard.

After the doubleheader weekend, the Big Red hits the road to take on both #2 Harvard and #10 Dartmouth across Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.
