The Last Time Out - vs Penn
The Cornell men's soccer team fell to reigning Ivy League champion, the University of Pennsylvania, 1-0, at River Fields on Saturday night.

Cornell and Penn met on the pitch as the projected top-two finishers in the Ivy League. The first half was a clinic by the defensive front-lines, as both teams would only manage to get off one shot a piece, with neither testing the goaltenders.

The Quakers got on the board in the 59th-minute when the Big Red was called for a handball in the box, leading to a successful Stas Korzeniowski penalty kick. Cornell outshot Penn 10-3 in the game, but was never able find the game-tying tally.

First-year goalie Isaac Delgado manned the net for Cornell, registering one save on the day. Nick Christoffersen was the Quaker goaltender, making two stops between the pipes.

Big Red Players To Watch
Alex Harris - The sophomore forward puts pressure on goaltenders, as he currently stands at 26 points on 11 goals and four assists. The stand-out Cornellian produced his first-career hat-trick against Dartmouth, ushering the Big Red to a 3-0 victory. Harris has registered seven multi-point games on the year and has been named Ivy League Offensive Player of The Week on two occasions. He is on pace to notch 35 points in the regular season alone, which would rank him fifth in Cornell history.

Alioune Ka - Ka has been a reliable goal-scorer for the Big Red in the early season. He continues to be shifty in the offensive zone, consistently finding goals in timely situations. He currently holds 10 points on the year on four goals and two assists. Although Ka has not registered a point in the previous three contests, he has the ability to change that in the blink of an eye with his dangerous scoring ability.

Connor Miller - Miller has been a catalyst for the Big Red. He has registered 12 points coming on three goals and six assists. Miller sets up his teammates for timely goals and has a knack for the moment, owning two game-winners for Cornell.

Ryan Friedberg - Friedberg has played every minute in net for the Big Red so far this season. He has posted a 9-1-2 record to go along with six shutouts. Through 12 games, he has already doubled his previous season-high in shutouts. Friedberg backs up a strong back-line with poise and focus. He has faced 106 shots this season, allowing just 10 to get by him which ranks him 55th in the NCAA in save percentage (.762).
