CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Cornell women's polo team fell to Southern Methodist University and defeated the University of Kentucky in the consolation round-robin games of the UVA Fall Tournament and moved to 3-2 on the season.
On Sunday, the Big Red lost to Southern Methodist in a close game 8-6. Freshman Naomi Marlough led the team with four goals in the game and junior Lara Chong notched one for Cornell.
The Big Red then played the University of Kentucky in another close game that ended with a Cornell victory 7-5. Chong and Marlough led the team in scoring with two goals each and fifth-year Isabelle Braden scored once.
Cornell will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 2 against Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
