ITHACA, N.Y. -- Take a look back at the battle against UAlbany on October 5, 2024, at Schoellkopf Field where Cornell fell to the Great Danes, 31-10, with these notes below.

PLAYER NOTES

  • Jameson Wang continued to move up the career charts with his efforts against UAlbany.
    • With his 35th career touchdown pass, Wang moved into third place in school history, surpassing Bill Lazor '94.
    • Wang now has eight touchdowns without an interception through three games, the most touchdowns without throwing a pick to start a season in Cornell history.
    • He increased his career completion percentage to .630 (488-of-774), taking over first place from Jeff Mathews '14 (.619).
    • With 56 career touchdowns accounted for, Wang now sits third in school history behind only Jeff Mathews '14 (81) and Ricky Rahne '02 (59).
    • Wang has now started 23 consecutive contests at quarterback.
  • Alan Zhao has begun his career 4-for-4 on field goals, the first kicker to do so in more than 40 years.
  • Parker Woodring's touchdown was his second this season and third of his career.
  • Johnny Williamson recorded both his first career sack and his first forced fumble in the contest.
  • Michael O'Keefe posted a career-best 11 tackles, becoming the first Big Red player to reach double figures this season.
  • No Big Red player had as many as 11 tackles since Luke Banbury also had 11 against Dartmouth in 2023.

TEAM NOTES

  • UAlbany evened the all-time series 1-1.
  • The Big Red now holds an 8-6 record all-time against members of the Colonial Athletic Conference (CAA).
  • Cornell surrendered its first sack of 2024, but still leads the Ivy League in fewest sacks allowed (one, 0.33 per game) and fewest sack yards allowed (three).
  • The Big Red has turned the ball over just twice this season in 204 offensive snaps, with opponents scoring just three points off its turnovers.
  • Cornell's offense hasn't been shut out in 46 games, one game from becoming the fourth-longest stretch in school history.
