Box Score WACO, TX —- Senior Radu Papoe and the doubles team of freshman Rushil Khosla and sophomore Eric Verdes were both knocked out of the NCAA Division I Men's Singles and Doubles Championships on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Papoe entered the second round of the NCAA tournament on Wednesday after winning his first round match against San Diego's Oliver Tarvet 2-6, 6-4, 6-3. In round two, Papoe was matched up against Kenta Miyoshi of Illinois. Papoe lost to Miyoshi 6-3, 6-4 to be knocked out of the tournament.
On the doubles side, Khosla and Verdes faced Stian Klaassen and Oliver Tarvet of San Diego in their first round match. The Big Red fell to the San Diego duo 6-4,7-5 and were knocked out of the tournament.
This tournament marks the end of the fall season for Cornell men's tennis.
