CHAPEL HILL, NC —- In the first round of the ITA Men's Singles Sectional Championships, Adit Sinha and Nathan Mao each took down their opponents to make it to the round of 16, but lost in the round of 16 doubles championships.

Adit Sinha defeated Piotr Siekanowicz from the University of Delaware in the men's singles round of 32, 6-1, 6-0. He will move on to the round of 16 on Friday, Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. to face off against Vladislav Melnic from UNC Chapel Hill.

Nathan Mao defeated Noa Vukadin from Clemson University in his round of 32 match, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. Mao will compete against Cooper Williams from Duke in the round of 16 on Friday, Nov. 8 at 12:00 p.m.

The duo of Sinha and Mao lost in their round of 16 doubles match against Duke's Williams and Theo Winegar 6-3, 6-2.

Sinha and Mao will each compete on Friday, Nov. 8 in order to stay in the competition to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.
