MEDFORD, Mass. — Senior
Arnaav Sareen and sophomore
Syan Singh each registered three-game victories to aid the No. 9-ranked Cornell men's squash team (3-0) to an 8-1 victory over No. 10-ranked Tufts (2-4) at the Tufts Squash Center on Saturday afternoon.
The victory for Cornell, who is sporting a 24-3 record in individual matches this season, marked the third consecutive year that it has opened a campaign with a 3-0 record.
Senior
Aaron Liang (No. 1),
Rohan Iyer (No. 6), and
Shreemann Raghavan (No. 7) posted victories in four games for the Big Red, while freshman
Youssef Sarhan (No. 4), senior
Tanay Punjabi (No. 5), and sophomore
Arnav Tevatia (No. 9) came away with victories in five games.
Freshman
Roman Bicknell staked out to a 2-0 lead against Rutva Samant at the No. 8 position, but Samant was able to prevent a Big Red clean sweep by winning the next three games, 11-8, 11-9, and 11-4.
