ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 8 Cornell women's squash team will look to close the regular season strong when it faces No. 7 Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 18, at noon at the McArthur Squash Center.
The Big Red started the season 6-0 but is trying to get back on track before postseason play begins, as it has lost seven of its last eight contests. Virginia enters the matchup 11-3 overall and has won six of seven.
Cornell has been led by senior Wen Li Lai, who has competed in the No. 1 slot throughout the season. The All-Ivy team member is tied for the team lead with 10 wins in 14 matches.
UVa owns a 5-2 lead against Cornell in the series, which began in 2017. The Cavaliers have won four in a row since a 6-3 loss to the Big Red in 2019.
