CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With the release of the Phill Steele Preseason All-Conference lists, Cornell accounted for six spots on the Ivy lists. The four Big Red named to the list is headlined by senior quarterback, Jameson Wang, who was named to the first team. Joining Wang with offensive recognition is Davon Kiser, who wrapped up a second-team honor as a wide receiver. Kiser was also named to the second team on special teams, as the punt returner and kick returner. Senior offense lineman Jackson Bradley also earned a recognition on the second team. On defense, senior linebacker Luke Banbury was named to the second team.

Wang is coming off a season where he ranked top-10 in the Ivy League in rushing, third in passing yards, third in completions, threw the third-fewest interceptions in the conference, and posted the conference's best completion percentage. The quarterback will enter his senior season ranked sixth in the Cornell record book in passing attempts (677), sixth in pass completions (419), sixth in passing yards (4426), and fifth in passing touchdowns (27). An All-Ivy second-team in 2023 and honorable mention in 2022, Wang could propel himself into the top three in Cornell history in each of those categories with a repeat of last season.

Kiser more than quadrupled his receptions from 2022 to 2023 even while appearing in two fewer games. Last season, he totaled 458 yards across eight games, the second most on the roster. Kiser's yards per catch of 14.8 ranked fifth most in the Ivy last season. Kiser's special teams honors come off the heal of a top-10 performance in Cornell history when he posted 235 all-purpose yards at Lehigh in the 2023 season opener. Two of Kiser's punt returns, a 21-yarder against the Mountain Hawks and a 23-yard return at Dartmouth, rank in the top 15 in Cornell history for longest punt return. Kiser was an All-Ivy honorable-mention awardee in the 2022 season.

Bradley played in three contests before being sidelined with injury in his junior season. He blocked for an offense that led the Ivy League in time of possession by over three minutes per game. The unit allowed just 13 sacks, the second-fewest in school history (nine in 2021).

Banbury posted the most tackles by a Big Red returner from 2023. He posted 41 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and 1.0 sacks. He more than tripled his tackle total from 2022 to 2023 while appearing in all ten contests, starting just once.

The Big Red gets the chance to earn the honors and gain more beginning on Saturday, September 21 when the team takes on Colgate in the 2024 season opener. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be streamed live via ESPN+.
