Men's Soccer To Close Out Three-Game Road-Stand At UAlbany

ALBANY, N.Y. - The Cornell men's soccer team will close out its three-game road-stand this Saturday, September 14th at 6:00 p.m. at Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

Weekend Recap
vs Georgetown
The Cornell men's soccer team tied 2-2 with the Georgetown Hoyas on Friday evening at Shaw Field. The Big Red moved to 1-0-1 on the year, while the Hoyas shifted to 2-2-1.

Freshman defender Aidan Martin scored the first goal of his collegiate career, assisted by Alex Harris. Harris also scored a goal, serving as the game-tying tally for Cornell.

vs Penn State
The Cornell men's soccer team defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions 3-2 on Monday night at Jeffrey Field. The Big Red improved to 2-0-1 on the season, while the Nittany Lions dropped to 2-3-0.

Alex Harris (two) and Connor Miller scored Big Red goals in the contest. Adam Schaban dealt an assist on the second goal of the night for Harris. Ryan Friedberg was tested six times and earned four saves in the game.

The Last Time Out - vs UAlbany
Last season, the Cornell men's soccer team survived a late game push by the UAlbany Great Danes, outlasting them 3-2 from Berman Field on a Tuesday night. Cornell improved its record to 4-2-2 on the season, and the Great Danes fell to 4-6-1.

Sophomore forward Westin Carnevale and junior defender Wilson Eisner registered their first goals of the season, while Ivy League points leader Alex Harris extended his point-streak to six with his 59th-minute successful penalty kick. Freshman goalie Isaac Delgado saw action in the net for the first time of his Big Red career, earning two saves and the victory.

Big Red Players To Watch
Alex Harris (Cornell) - Harris is off to a strong start again this season. He currently stands at nine points on four goals and one assist. 

Connor Miller (Cornell) - Miler has been a catalyst during the first three games of the season. He has registered four points coming on one goal and two assists.

Ryan Friedberg (Cornell) - Friedberg has played every minute in net for the Big Red so far this season. In three games, he has posted a 2-0-1 record to go along with a shutout.
