ITHACA, N.Y. -- After leading Cornell football to a high-flying 47-23 victory over back-to-back Ivy Champion Yale, senior quarterback Jameson Wang has been named the Ivy League's offensive player of the week. In addition to winning the conference award, he was named an honorable mention for the Stats Perform FCS National Offensive Player of the Week.

In the game, Jameson Wang completed 18-of-29 passes in the rain for 278 yards and four touchdowns. For the second straight game, Wang accounted for zero turnovers and no plays for loss. He took no sacks and of his 11 rushing attempts, none were for a loss. Wang rushed for 55 yards on the day and a score, matching the Cornell record for most touchdowns accounted for in a single game (five). Wang became the sixth player at Cornell to surpass 5,000 career passing yards (5,017). The El Segundo, Calif., native leads the nation in total offense per game (343.5). He ranks second in the FCS in passing efficiency (181.4). Cornell is the only team in the Ivy to have thrown no interceptions through two games.

Wang and the rest of the Big Red are back in action this weekend when the team hosts UAlbany on Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m. The Great Danes will be looking for a win after dropping three games straight and being unranked for the first time this season.
