WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Cornell men's soccer team will head on the road this weekend to take on the no. 14-ranked Georgetown Hoyas this Friday, September 6th at 4:00 p.m. at Shaw Field. The Big Red will follow that contest with a meeting with the Penn State Nittany Lions on Monday, September 9th at Jeffery Field in University Park.

Big Red Players To Watch
Alex Harris (Cornell) - Harris registered a tally against the Red Foxes in Cornell's season opening victory. He continues to constantly put the pressure on goaltenders, as he registered three shots on goals in that contest.
Kisa Kiingi (Cornell) - Senior defender Kiingi manned the pitch for the entire 90-minutes of action against Marist, aiding in the shutout. Following a red card assessment to
Andrew Johnson, the Big Red played the entire second half a man down while keeping the Red Foxes scoreless.
Ryan Friedberg (Cornell) - Friedberg was not tested often over the course of the season-opener, but he did make two key stops during the man-down period to keep the shutout in tact.
Connor Miller (Cornell) - Dishing a pair of assists last week against Marist was sophomore midfielder
Connor Miller. He found his teammates in perfect position to put the ball in the back of the net.
Off On The Right Foot
The Cornell men's soccer team opened the season with a 3-0 victory over the Marist Red Foxes at Berman Field on Saturday afternoon.
Andrew Johnson,
Harris, and
Alioune Ka were responsible for the Big Red goals in the contest.
Friedberg earned his first shutout of the season.
Miller collected two points on a pair of assists. Johnson was assesed a red card early in the second half of the game which results in a one-game suspension.
Following the formidable shutout victory in the first game of the season versus Marist, the Big Red will look to stay on the right foot as it takes its relentless approach on the road against the no. 14-ranked Georgetown Hoyas and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
John Smith, the Dr. Daniel P. Wood Head Coach of Men's Soccer, expects nothing less than highly competitive games as the Big Red faces two road tests in the coming days. "We approach every game with the same mindset, and so, just as we did [last week], we will be expecting a very good game this Friday", he mentioned.
