MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The No. 10-ranked Cornell men's squash team defeated No. 17 Middlebury 6-3 in its season opener Saturday afternoon at the Bostwick Family Squash Center.
Freshmen
Aly Ezzat (No. 2) and
Vedant Chheda (No. 9) each registered the lone three-game victories on the day for the Big Red.
Sophomore
Youssef Sarhan (No. 1) and freshman
Edward Thng (No. 4) each had four-game victories, while junior
Arnav Tevatia (No. 3) and sophomore
Vivaan Shah (No. 8) had five-game triumphs.
Middlebury's victories came in matches played at the No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 positions. Aditya Kothari rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat
Daniel King, while Nicholas Brown and Kian Kardestuncer had four- and three-game victories, respectively.
