ITHACA, N.Y. — The No. 9-ranked Cornell men's squash team will conclude its 2024-25 regular-season slate on Wednesday evening when it hosts the No. 14-ranked University of Rochester at the Belkin Squash Courts.
First matches are scheduled for 6 p.m. Match action will be streamed live for free on Stretch Internet.
Cornell will be looking to snap its eight-match losing streak on Wednesday as it goes up against the Yellow Jackets, who enter the match winners in seven of their last nine matches.
LAST TIME OUT

Aaron Liang and
Rohan Iyer each recorded victories for Cornell as it fell to No. 5-ranked Virginia at the Belkin Squash Courts on Saturday afternoon, 7-2.
Liang prevailed in four games at the No. 1 match, 11-3, 14-12, 8-11, 11-6, snapping Virginia's Karim Elbarbarry's five-match win streak.
Iyer posted his seventh victory on the season, tying Liang,
Shreemann Raghavan, and freshman
Youssef Sarhan for the team lead in wins, as he edged Maxwell Velazquez in the No. 5 match, 4-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-13, 11-8.
SCOUTING ROCHESTER
Rochester enters Wednesday's match with an overall record of 8-7 and fresh off its sixth consecutive Liberty League Championship on Feb. 9 against St. Lawrence, 8-1.
The Yellow Jackets' last match came on Sunday, when it fell to Virginia, 8-1, at the Belkin Squash Courts in a neutral-site contest. Tom Whiteley was the lone player from Rochester to register a win, cruising past Dylan Moran in straight games in the No. 4 match, 11-2, 11-7, 11-2.
Yash Fadte has won a team-high nine matches in duals this season, competing exclusively at the top of the Yellowjackets' ladder. Dhirren Rajarathinam (8-6), Tom Whiteley (8-7), and Omar Zakaria (8-7) are right behind with eight wins apiece. Whiteley currently owns Rochester's longest win streak at four matches.
SERIES HISTORY WITH ROCHESTER
Cornell owns a 62-19 lead in the all-time series against the Yellowjackets, which includes winning each of the last four meetings. Three of the Big Red's four victories during the win streak have featured Cornell winning at least seven matches.
With a win Wednesday, Cornell will have its longest win streak against Rochester since stringing six consecutive victories between Jan. 31, 1997, and Jan. 23, 2009.
In the last meeting between the programs, Cornell posted an 8-1 victory on Jan. 16, 2024, featuring seven of the Big Red's eight victories coming in straight games.
