#9 Men's Squash Posts Five Straight-Game Victories in Win Over #12 Tufts

PHILADELPHIA — Five members of the No. 9-seeded Cornell men's squash team (7-7) posted straight-game victories as it posted an 8-1 victory over No. 12-seeded Tufts in the first consolation semifinals at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Friday afternoon.

Senior Aaron Liang (No. 1), junior Jeh Pandole (No. 9), sophomores Syan Singh (No. 2) and Arnav Tevatia (No. 8), and freshman Roman Bicknell (No. 7) all registered victories in their matches without dropping a game. 

Seniors Tanay Punjabi (No. 5) and Shreemann Raghavan (No. 6), and freshman Youssef Sarhan (No. 3) each won their respective matches in four games.

No. 1: Aaron Liang def. Nachiket Desai, 11-9, 11-4, 11-9.
No. 2: Syan Singh def. Aarav Gill, 11-6, 11-5, 11-0.
No. 3: Youssef Sarhan def. Kerwin Teh, 15-13, 14-12, 10-12, 11-9.
No. 4: Jared Chin def. Rohan Iyer, 11-9, 11-3, 11-7.
No. 5: Tanay Punjabi def. Rohan Valia, 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-4.
No. 6: Shreemann Raghavan def. Youssef Ezzo, 7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-7. 
No. 7: Roman Bicknell def. Rutva Samant, 11-7, 11-5, 11-3.
No. 8: Arnav Tevatia def. Shivin Kumar, 11-7, 11-6, 11-9.
No. 9: Jeh Pandole def. Emerson Wang, 11-9, 11-4, 11-5.

UP NEXT
Cornell will square off against Ivy League rival, No. 11-seeded Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the consolation finals at Arlen Specter US Squash Center. Match action will be streamed live on ESPN+ and will take place on courts 5 through 7.
