#9 Men's Squash Edged by #11 Dartmouth at CSA National Team Championships

PHILADELPHIA — The No. 8-seeded Cornell men's squash team (7-10) lost a nail-biting match to No. 11-seeded Dartmouth (7-10), 5-4, in the consolation finals of the College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Saturday afternoon.

Dartmouth's victory ended Cornell's seven-match win streak against the Big Green, marking Dartmouth's first win over the Big Red since Feb. 1, 2020.

Senior Shreemann Raghavan (No. 6) dominated his match, being the only Big Red player to win in straight games. Fellow senior Aaron Liang (No. 1) and freshman Youssef Sarhan (No. 3) emerged victorious in four games, while sophomore Arnav Tevatia narrowly defeated Rana Thakkar in a five-game match at the No. 8 position.

Sophomore Syan Singh (No. 2), senior Rohan Iyer (No. 4), and freshman Roman Bicknell (No. 7) each secured one victory, despite ultimately losing in four-game matches.

No. 4: Quintin Campbell def. Rohan Iyer, 11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9.
No. 5: Callan Venkatesan def. Tanay Punjabi, 11-6, 11-6, 11-5.
No. 6: Shreemann Raghavan def. Brandon Wang, 11-6, 11-8, 11-9.
No. 7: Felix Feldman def. Roman Bicknell, 12-10, 11-3, 9-11, 11-9.
No. 8: Arnav Tevatia def. Rana Thakkar, 11-3, 12-10, 9-11, 8-11, 11-4.
No. 9: Warren Klein def. Jeh Pandole, 11-8, 5-11, 14-12, 3-2, retired.
