ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell softball (13-14, 4-8 Ivy) will welcome Penn (2-29-1, 0-15 Ivy) for a three-game weekend series at Niemand-Robison Softball Field for the final home series. Play is scheduled to start on Friday at 3 p.m. with a double header on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. weather permitting. In case of rain out, game three will be made up at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

SENIOR DAY!
Three seniors will be honored before the double header on Saturday for their contributions to the Cornell Softball program as they play their final home series at Niemand Robison Field. Emma Antich, Maxine McCraw and Reagen London have each devoted countless hours both on and off the field, dedicating time and energy to both academics AND athletics.
Emma Antich is a four-time letter winner starting in 123 games in the infield over her four year campaign. She has been named captain by her teammates for two consecutive years. With over 360 at bats, she has recorded a .242 batting average with a total of 87 hits with 15 home runs, 16 doubles and five triples to total 77 RBIs. In 2023 she recorded a career-high three doubles in a win over Harvard. She earned first team all-ivy honors in her sophomore year as well as NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, CSC Academic All-District Honors and is a member of the Cornell 400 Club. She plans to apply for medical school after graduation in route to becoming a surgeon after a year of research.
Maxine McCraw has appeared in over 155 innings in the circle with 17 starts under her belt. The varsity letter winner has recorded 60 strikeouts and currently holds a 6.03 ERA. She recorded a career high 5 strikeouts against Canisius in 2024 and earned a Save later that season against Harvard. After graduation she plans to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at EICAR in Paris, France.
Reagen London has appeared in 55 games as catcher, designated hitter, and pinch hitter with 86 at bats in the Big Red lineup and a .311 on base percentage as a varsity letter winner. She recorded her first career home run against North Florida during her sophomore year. She is a NFCA All-American and a member of the Red Key Honor Society as well as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. After graduation, she plans to work as a veterinary technician at an equine services clinic in Georgia as she applies to Veterinary School.
SCOUTING PENN
This will be the 86th meeting between the Quakers and Big Red. In the last series, Cornell took one game off Penn in 7-4 victory on the road.
Penn sits at the bottom of the conference still looking for their first win in the conference.
Jade Montgomery has the seventh most home runs in the Ivy with six on the season while batting .229. Gigi Ganje is leading the team in batting average at .320 and has recorded six stolen bases.
In the circle, Ainsley Pemberton has the best ERA on the pitching staff with 7.18 and 27 strikeouts.
IVY STANDINGS
Princeton (11-1) is still on top with only one conference loss to Dartmouth.
Brown has the lowest ERA (2.71) for pitchers led by Alexis Guevara with 1.62 individually.
Princeton has the best batting average of .322 with three batters in the top 10 individually: Karis Ford (.410), Sonia Zhang (.387) and Allison Ha (.367).
Lauren Holt has the second most home runs in the Ivy League with eight and is first in walks drawn per game (.85). Ella Harrod is leading the conference in assists per game at shortstop with 2.56 per game.
Cornell has turned a total of 12 double plays, most in the conference.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Emma Harshberger has proven to be one of the most disciplined hitters in the game, ranking 10th in the nation in Toughest to Strike Out, averaging an incredible 43.0 at-bats per strikeout.
Ella Harrod continues to anchor the defense, ranking 13th nationally in Assists per Game at 2.56.
Lauren Holt has showcased patience, ranking 19th in the country in Walks per Game with an average of 0.91.
LAST SERIES
The Big Red experience their first series sweep in the Ivy League with three losses to Princeton.
Cornell tried to put together a seventh inning rally in the first game of the series adding two runs off hits from Maddie Ullensvang, Ella Harrod and Emma Harshberger but fell short ending the game 7-2 Princeton. In the second game, Charlize Cai, Sydney Staff and Addison Pressley added hits but couldn't get around. Going into the bottom of the fifth Princeton held the lead at 12-0. The Big Red would try to rally once again added two runs off hits from Emma Antich, Pressley and Harrod but the Tigers would end the game early with a 12-2 victory over the Big Red to take the series. Princeton took the final game of the series on Monday in a 8-0 shutout.
Ullensvang led the team in batting average (.500), slugging percentage (.667) and on base percentage (.625) over the three-game series.

Cornell will start a three series road trip with a double-header at Binghamton on Wednesday starting at 4:30 in Vestal, N.Y. before heading into their final two Ivy League series at Columbia and Harvard.
