AUSTIN, Texas -- No. 37 Cornell put up a strong fight, but No. 3 Texas was too much in a 4-1 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon at the Texas Tennis Center. The Big Red's season came to an end with a 16-8 record following its third straight season with a first round NCAA win. The Longhorns advanced to the Sweet 16 by advancing its record to 27-4.
After dropping 6-3 contests at No. 1 and No. 3 to a lineup full of ranked opponents, Cornell gave the home team all it could handle.
Adit Sinha gained a point at No. 2 singles, pulling a big 6-2, 6-3 upset over No. 26 Sebastian Gorzny in his final collegiate match. Senior
