PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League office announced the 2025 Football Preseason Media Poll on Monday, Aug. 4, with Cornell picked seventh overall in the eight-team league. The poll is voted on by two media members who cover each conference member.
Harvard, Dartmouth, and Yale all received first-place votes, with the Crimson leading the poll with nine first-place votes and 118 points. The Big Green collected four first-place votes, followed by Yale with three.
Columbia, Princeton, and Penn each finished ahead of the Big Red in the poll, while Brown was picked eighth overall.
In 2024, Cornell sported the third-ranked offense in the league, finishing with a 4-6 overall record. Three of its four wins came in league play, including a 39-22 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, Nov. 16. Dartmouth finished the season with a share of the Ivy title.
The 2025 season will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 20, when Cornell travels to UAlbany to take on the Great Danes under the lights at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. The home portion of the schedule begins on Saturday, Oct. 4, against Colgate.
