ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell field hockey team will debut its new home on Friday, Sept. 26, when it hosts No. 17 Yale in a key Ivy League matchup at 4 p.m. The Big Red will also welcome Vermont to the new field on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m. Both contests will be played at Marsha Dodson Field on Rufus Drive, which will serve as the Big Red's permanent home for the remainder of the 2025 season.
Admission is free, with spectator parking available on-site along Rufus Drive and at the Booth Field baseball complex off Ellis Hollow Road. A free shuttle service will run between Booth Field and the venue. Car pooling is suggested.
The new Marsha Dodson Field has been approved for practices and competition, even as final phases of construction continue. Upon completion, the facility will include:
- A multi-level press box and digital scoreboard
- Team dugouts and expanded spectator seating
- A support building with restrooms, storage, and training space
- A team clubhouse featuring a locker room with drying space, team lounge, meeting room, and a training/rehab area
- A coaching and recruiting suite with a reception area, private offices, and a conference room
The contest will also be available to watch on ESPN+.
