#10 Men's Squash Falls in Ivy Opener at #9 Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 10 Cornell men's squash team dropped its Ivy League opener 7-2 at No. 9 Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at the Berry Squash Courts, falling to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Big Green improved to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League with the victory.

The Big Red secured wins at the top and bottom of the ladder. At No. 1, junior Syan Singh delivered Cornell's most commanding performance, defeating Dartmouth's Shan Jolly in straight games 11-4, 11-8, 13-11. Sophomore Vivaan Shah added Cornell's second victory at No. 9, claiming a four-game decision over Rohan Ray 11-7, 11-0, 11-9, 11-7.

Dartmouth controlled the middle positions, claiming five straight-set victories between the No. 2 and No. 6 spots.

The Big Green also prevailed in tight four-game battles at No. 7 and No. 8. Felix Feldman outlasted sophomore Roman Bicknell 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 11-9, while Warren Klein survived a grueling 30-28 opening game before defeating senior Jeh Pandole 30-28, 8-11, 11-7, 11-6.

Cornell freshman Aly Ezzat nearly gave the Big Red a crucial third point at No. 3, battling Wei Yan Tho through five games before falling 6-11, 11-9, 6-11, 16-14, 13-11.

No. 6: Callan Venkatesan def. Arnav Tevatia, 11-5, 12-10, 11-5.
No. 7: Felix Feldman def. Roman Bicknell, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 11-9.
No. 8: Warren Klein def. Jeh Pandole, 30-28, 8-11, 11-7, 11-6.
No. 9: Vivaan Shah def. Rohan Ray, 11-7, 0-11, 11-9, 11-7.
