Men's Squash's Sarhan Named Second Team All-Ivy

ITHACA, N.Y. — Sophomore Youssef Sarhan of the Cornell men's squash team was named a Second Team All-Ivy selection, the Ivy League office announced Thursday, while senior Jeh Pandole earned Academic All-Ivy honors.

Sarhan finished the season with a 9-4 overall record and a 3-2 mark in Ivy League play, operating primarily at the No. 2 position where he went 7-2. He closed the year on a strong note, winning three of his last four matches.

Tenth-ranked Cornell (5-9), fresh off its 9-0 sweep of 21st-ranked University of Rochester on Wednesday night at the Lyman Squash Courts, will have the next two weekends off as it prepares for the CSA National Team Championships, which begin Thursday, March 5, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. Seedings and draws will be announced at a later date.
