ITHACA, N.Y. -
Lauren Holt has been named Ivy League Player of the Week. Holt hit .667 with an eye-popping .818 on-base percentage as Cornell earned a series road win at Yale this past weekend.
The senior was 4-for-6 at the plate with three extra-base hits, including hitting leadoff home runs in each of the first two games of the series before drawing a total of five walks in the final two games. She scored nine runs, reached base at least twice in each game and even stole a pair of bases. In the team's lone loss of the weekend, she was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, and RBI, a double and a homer.
She then posted a 2-for-4 day with a homer, three walks, two stolen bases and four runs scored in the game two win. On Sunday, Holt walked twice, scored three times and helped the Big Red to its first conference road series win since 2023 (at Harvard). Her 33 career home runs move her into fourth place on the school's career list and moved her into the top 10 in Ivy history (ninth).
