PRINCETON, N.J. — The Cornell men's golf team posted a two-round team total of 597 (+29) through 36 holes of the Princeton Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Springdale Golf Club, sitting 11th in the 13-team field entering Sunday's final round.
The Big Red shot a 305 (+21) in the opening round and followed with a 292 (+8) in round two, shaving 13 strokes the second time around Springdale Golf Club.
Tyler Debusschere leads Cornell individually, tied for 12th at 145 (+3) after rounds of 75 and 70. Debusschere's second-round 70, one under par, was the low round among Cornell's scorers and moved him 16 spots up the leaderboard.
Weston Warden sits tied for 28th at 148 (+6) following rounds of 75 and 73, while
Adithya Venkataraghavan is also tied for 28th at 148 after posting a 73 in round one and a 75 in round two.
Shep Davis improved significantly from his opening round, carding a 74 (+3) Saturday after an 82 (+11) in round one to sit tied for 57th at 156 (+14).
Viktor Stollinger also bounced back in round two, shooting a 76 (+5) to finish the day at 162 (+20) and tied for 71st.
TJ Betlow, competing as an individual, shot a 72 (+1) in round two after an 82 (+11) in the opener, sitting tied for 54th at 154 (+12).
Princeton and Harvard sit atop the team leaderboard with team scores of 572.
Cornell will complete the event Sunday in the final round at Springdale Golf Club.
