Lightweight Rowing Captures Baggaley Bowl Over Dartmouth

| By:
ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell Lightweight Rowing captured the Baggaley Bowl on Saturday morning with a victory in the varsity eight, finishing in 5:26.35 ahead of Dartmouth (5:29.01). In the second varsity eight, Cornell placed second with a time of 5:43.35, trailing Dartmouth (5:35.10).

"I'm really proud of the entire team. Dartmouth has a strong squad with a lot of returners in their Varsity that was second at the IRA last year. The 1st Varsity had a great race. Dartmouth shot out of the blocks and our guys stay composed and were right there with them.  We rowed an aggressive rhythm to take the lead and fought hard to maintain it in the last 1000m.", Tyler Nase, the Henry E. Bartels '48 Head Coach of Lightweight Rowing mentioned.

"The JV had their best race of the season so far. We have a lot of guys that are racing their first spring season in that line up. I'm excited to see them keep building speed. MIT next weekend at home will be another great test before we had into Eastern Sprints.", Nase concluded with.
