ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell field hockey team will welcome six freshmen that make up the Class of 2030 for the upcoming 2026 season it was announced today by head coach Andy Smith.
"I am incredibly excited and proud to have these fantastic young women choose Cornell as their place to study," Smith said. "This class has the potential to make an immediate impact on our program and I'm excited about the versatility they'll bring. We are excited to welcome them in August and cant wait to get started."

Rebecca Block

Block is one of the most decorated high school field hockey players in the country, having been named Pennsylvania State, Region and National Player of the Year as a senior in 2025 at Episcopal Academy... earned first team All-American honors from both MAX Field Hockey and the NFHCA in 2025 after being named MAX Field Hockey third team All-American in 2024 ... named Inter-Ac MVP and captain in 2025 ... finished No. 2 in the MAX Field Hockey national rankings ... recorded 31 goals, 12 assists and five defensive saves as a senior ... named to the MAX Field Hockey All-Tournament First Team and HSNI All-Tournament First Team in 2025 ... three-time first team All-Inter-Ac honoree (2023, 2024, 2025) ... three-time first team all-state selection (2023, 2024, 2025) ... three-time first team all-region honoree from both MAX Field Hockey and the NFHCA (2023, 2024, 2025) ... two-time first team All-Mainline (2023, 2024) ... earned first team All-Delco honors in 2024 and 2025, adding the Delco Times Player of the Year award as a senior ... placed on the MAX Field Hockey Preseason Watch List in 2024 and 2025 ... three-time high scorer on her high school team and two-time team MVP ... helped lead Episcopal Academy to the PAISAA championship in 2022 and the Inter-Ac title that same year, and was a PAISAA runner-up in 2025 ... received the Inter-Ac Athletic Director's Award ... represented the United States extensively on the national team stage, serving as a member of the U18 Women's National Team on the Tonbridge, England Six Nations Tour (scoring two goals in a 2-2 showing) and the Valencia, Spain tour ... earned a roster spot on the Can-Am Series tour and served as captain of the Junior Women's National Indoor Team in Toronto in 2025, helping the Junior USWNT to victories over Scotland, England, Spain and Poland (scoring one goal) ... named an alternate for the 2026 U21 Women's National Team Four Nations Tour and a member of the Senior Women's National Indoor Team ... played club hockey for Mainline Mayhem ... also a four-year letter winner in swimming, competing in the butterfly and freestyle and serving as senior captain, and earning a bid to the Easterns finals.
